Money expert to sponsor Jesters U21 event

A WILTSHIRE money expert is set to help budding Ronnie O’Sullivans cash in on their successes.

Richard Clark (pictured) swapped the taxing demands of the professional snooker circuit in the 1990s for a new career as an independent financial adviser.

Now working under the Tamar IFA Ltd brand based in Wokingham, he will sponsor a leg of next season’s Cuestars South of England Under-21 Gold, Silver and Bronze Tours at Jesters Snooker Club, Swindon.

As well as four years on the Main Tour, Richard represented England at under-19 level and has made seven 147 maximum breaks. He still plays in local leagues and competitions when time allows.

“I still try to play when I can and try to help out the younger players where I think I can add some knowledge and experience,” he said.

“This sponsorship is a great way to help support the events and to try to give the young ones some extra prize money to help them enter further tournaments.”

Reflecting on his 16-year career in financial services, he added: “My objective is to help clients achieve their financial goals, not only trying to achieve retirement and investment objectives but protecting what clients have today and making sure their families are financially secure if a family member were to be taken ill or worse.”
