Two out of two for Masters champion Hunter

JOHN Hunter reckons the snooker gods are smiling on him this season.

The defending champion from Andover didn’t drop a single frame as he made it two wins out of two on the Cuestars Masters Tour.

He beat Colin Norton (Gosport) 2-0 in the final of the second leg of the midweek circuit for players aged 55 and over at Chandlers Ford Snooker Club.

“The snooker gods continue to like me this season,” said the 59-year-old, who is bidding for a sixth successive title.

There was a strong turnout of 17 for the event sponsored by Dennis Tristram.

Trevor Pitman (Salisbury) made his debut and missed out on qualifying for the knockout by one frame.
