Chez’s Ices sets Cuestars members a summer challenge

COULD you eat a 99 ice cream in 60 seconds?

Perhaps John Hunter should add this to his practice challenges on the Cuestars Academy. Something like: 15 reds, T line-up, eat a 99 in 60 seconds, the snake.

OK, perhaps not.

But that is the challenge set by Chez’s Ices, the latest Cuestars sponsor.

Francesco Carchedi, a cousin of Cuestars Seniors Tour player Franco Carchedi, runs the Swindon-based ice cream firm. The 42-year-old, who does like a game of snooker, has been involved with the family-run business for 19 years.

He said: “I’m sponsoring the tournament as I have always had a love for snooker. If I can help in any way to promote myself or snooker, I’ll always be happy to get involved.

“We like to do ice cream challenges where we give people 60 seconds to eat a big 99 ice cream.”
