Mini max for Joe Perry

CUESTARS ambassador Joe Perry produced a mini maximum break during the Under-21 Championship day at Jesters Snooker Club, Swindon.

Joe made a 75 total clearance in a six-reds frame against Silver Tour player Jack Squires.

In total, 19 of our youngsters took to the green baize in exhibition frames against the man who recently announced his retirement from the professional circuit after a staggering 33 years.

Tooting-based Gold player Zain Jeraj was the only one to record a victory, 72-44, in the fourth frame of the afternoon.

Joe made three centuries – 127 against Archie Greier, 123 against Asten Sahota and 107 against Noah Gartell – in his 13 full frames. And he also completed five six-reds frames (one against a doubles team of Ben Scammell and Charlie Ings).

Following the completion of the championships, Joe presented the trophies and posed on the steps of the club with players and their families.

The event was sponsored by Jesters Snooker Club (www.jesterssnooker.co.uk).
