Taylor-Jenkins claims first Plate trophy
BEN Taylor-Jenkins collected his first Plate winner’s trophy during the second legs of the Cuestars Under-21 Gold, Silver and Bronze Tours.
The 14-year-old beat Chester Chan (Reading) 2-0 in the final on home tables at Chandlers Ford Snooker Club.
Taylor-Jenkins had missed out on qualifying from his Silver round-robin group as one of the two best thirds on frames average.
It was Bronze player Chan’s first Cuestars trophy. He missed out on the main knockout via a three-way play-off. The 11-year-old has been playing in these events since April, 2023.
The third legs of ten will be played at two venues. The Crucible Sports & Social Club in Newbury hosts the Bronze event while The Crucible Sports & Social Club in Reading hosts the Gold and Silver events. This means the Bronze round-robin groups will be bigger.
