Stacey clears line-up with a 142

EAST London potter Adam Stacey compiled a personal best 142 total clearance on the line-up three days after collecting a trophy on the Cuestars South of England Under-21 Gold Tour.

It came at the home of coach Gary Filtness and eclipsed his previous best of 139 made at Legends Snooker Club, Leytonstone.

The 16-year-old from Poplar first picked up a cue at the age of five.

Proud dad Stephen described it as a “great achievement”.

Stacey, who won his second Plate trophy in the tenth and final leg at Salisbury Snooker Club, reached two semi-finals in his debut season on the Cuestars Gold Tour and finished in tenth place in the rankings.

He also competes on the EASB Regional Junior Tour – South East and ended the 2016/17 campaign in fourth place.

His greatest achievement was playing for England in the Home Internationals in Leeds after making the last four of the English Under-14 Championship.
