Caden clinches Six-Reds title
CADEN Read has claimed his second Cuestars title in Swindon.
Last season’s Under-21 Silver Tour Championship winner couldn’t repeat his success this year at Jesters Snooker Club.
But the 14-year-old from Chandler’s Ford bounced back from the disappointment of winning one frame in his round-robin group to clinch the Six-Reds Championship title.
He defeated Jack Allen 2-1 in the final. Allen, from Warmley Snooker Club in Bristol, was making his Cuestars debut.
Ben Scammell (Amesbury) and Bronze Tour rankings winner Sam Perkins (New Milton) made the last-four.
Retiring professional Joe Perry presented the trophies. Read played a frame against Perry and lost 97-10.
The event was sponsored by Jesters Snooker Club (www.jesterssnooker.co.uk).
