Miller and Squires win Plates in Berkshire
JACK Miller beat Stanley Sims 2-0 in the Plate final during the third leg of the Cuestars Under-21 Bronze Tour at The Crucible Sports & Social Club, Reading.
The 11-year-old from Thatcham, who won the Bronze final in Chandlers Ford last month, finished third in his six-man round-robin group and missed out on a place in the main knockout on a tiebreak for one of the best thirds.
Sims, from Woking, recorded the highest Plate break of 21 in his first-round victory over home player Harry Rice.
Gosport-based Jack Squires won the Plate for Gold and Silver players at The Crucible Sports & Social Club, Reading.
This was the first time that two venues had been used since January, 2023 when Bronze was at Top Spot Snooker Club, Havant, and Gold and Silver was at Waterlooville Sports Bar.
Jesters Snooker Club, Swindon, hosts the fourth legs of ten on Sunday, December 7.
