First school-holiday title for Christopher Woodward
CHRISTOPHER Woodward capped a memorable week by claiming his first school-holiday title at Chandlers Ford Snooker Club.
The 16-year-old Cuestars Under-21 Silver Tour player, who chalked up a first half-century break on Monday, finished the 13th running of the Autumn Half-Term Cup a slender 1.5 points ahead of runner-up Oliver Andrews.
Navraj Landa held off Ben Taylor-Jenkins to secure third place in the five-day event.
Christopher is a two-time winner of the Eastleigh & District Under-19 League and he earned his three-gold lions badge by qualifying for the England junior billiards second team in the Home Internationals in August. Christopher also competes on the World Disability Billiards and Snooker circuit.
We do it all again at Christmas.
