Q School 2017

ANY Cuestars member could be one tournament away from joining our Finals Day special guest Mark Davis (pictured) on the professional circuit next season.

Q School is open to all amateur players worldwide plus those relegated from the Main Tour. It consists of two consecutive tournaments at Preston Guild Hall starting on May 9.

The four semi-finalists from each event plus the next four players winning the most frames across both events will receive two-year tour cards. In addition, spaces available in next season’s professional tournaments will be offered to unsuccessful players who win the most Q School frames.

Players must be members of their national governing body, eg, the EASB. Entries close on April 5, although relegated Main Tour players may enter after that date. The entry fee of £600 covers both events.

There are no age restrictions but World Snooker reserves the right to refuse entry to any player under the age of 16 as of May 9. Players aged under 19 on May 9 must have their entry confirmed in writing by a parent or guardian.

At least one Cuestars member will be making the trip north. The prize for the winner of the Championship Tour is free entry to Q School.
