Chandlers Ford retain club rankings title

CHANDLERS Ford Snooker Club has retained the Cuestars club rankings trophy.

Its players amassed nearly double the number of points across all five tours as runner-up Greenbaize, Bournemouth.

Eight-year-old O’Shay Scott was nominated to receive the silverware on behalf of the club from world number 37 Mark Davis during the presentation at Jesters Snooker Club, Swindon.

And the pint-sized potter then formally handed it over to Ray Cooper, the new owner of Chandlers Ford SC, in front of players and parents during the Saturday morning junior leagues.

The trophy is awarded to the club whose players collect the most points over the whole season on the Cuestars Under-21 Gold, Silver and Bronze Tours plus the Seniors (40+) and Championship Tours.

Top 7 clubs: Chandlers Ford SC 2,011 points; Greenbaize SC, Bournemouth 1,057; Salisbury SC 1,014; Jesters SC, Swindon 855; Frames Sports Bar, Coulsdon 619; Copnor SC, Portsmouth 606; Crucible S&S Club, Newbury 490.
