First title for Lennon

LENNON Savage (pictured) today secured his first school-holiday title at Chandlers Ford Snooker Club.

The 12-year-old from Southampton pipped runner-up Caden Read by just 1.5 points over the five days. Bailey Davis was third in his first competition.

Caden, needing to finish two places higher than his title rival in the snooker round-robin, did what he needed to do by winning all seven frames to take the Day 5 prize. But Lennon only lost one of seven to end the day in second place.

Lennon travels to Woking on Sunday to defend his position as number one in the Cuestars Under-21 Bronze Tour rankings.

This week has seen the biggest average daily attendance in the ten-year history of the school-holiday competitions.

We do it all again at Easter.
