It was one of the nicest things I’ve ever done in my life

THREE Cuestars members from Stoke Snooker Club, Gosport, raised nearly £400 for two local charities in a 12-hour snookerthon.

Cameron Gillon, Mark Lloyd, Matt Gillon and Matt Boudier completed their long stint on the green baize in September.

And on Friday night at Stoke Academy’s end-of-year presentation night, cheques for £193 were handed over to the Gosport-based Harbour Cancer Support Centre and the Gosport branch of the Submariners Association.

Cameron Gillon said: “It was one of the nicest things I’ve ever done in my life.”
