Mighty maximum man

SOUTHAMPTON’S Town Champion Mike Finn compiled a maximum 147 break and four other centuries in an astonishing eight-frame practice session with his Churchills teammate Adam Nash.

The 27-year-old from Eastleigh (pictured left), living up to his nickname ‘The Mighty Finn’, kicked off with 127, 120 and 104 in the opening three frames.
In the fifth, Finn, who has had two previous maximums but not in competition, chalked up his first 147 for at least five years.
And he nearly had a second. He ended the session by missing the last red on 112.
Finn said: “Although only practice, it gives you a lot of confidence and belief, which is what you need.”
Nash said: “I’ve never seen snooker like it.”
