Rhys Pearce secures unique hat-trick

A CUESTARS Under-21 Bronze Tour player has completed a unique hat-trick in the history of junior cue-sports at Waterlooville Sports Bar.

Rhys Pearce (pictured) wrapped up the Wednesday Junior Snooker League title this week.

The reigning Monday Junior Snooker League champion and Thursday pool champion now holds all three titles, something that has never been done before.

Finn Kirby was runner-up and Ryan Kneller finished third at the end of the 20-week campaign.

Rhys started his cue-sport career in a pool table but, like many of our players, decided to give snooker a go. His highest snooker break is 29 and he’s on Bronze Level 5 of the Cuestars Academy. Rhys has also had a fair amount of success in the billiards competitions that we often hold on trophy day.

The 11th season starts next Wednesday, February 16.

WPBSA coach Tim Dunkley runs snooker sessions for under-19s from 4.30-6.30pm every Monday and Wednesday and junior pool sessions from 4.30-6.30pm every Thursday.
