Half-century secures Donovan Plate victory

JOHN Donovan fired in a 51 break to secure the Plate trophy during the fourth legs of the Cuestars Under-21 Gold, Silver and Bronze Tours at Salisbury Snooker Club.

Donovan (Camden Town) chalked up the half-century in the second frame of his 2-0 final victory over Mason Wilson (Basingstoke).

Both players had missed out on qualifying for the knockout from the same Silver Tour group.

The event was sponsored by the host club and one of its members, Malcolm Slark.

Fareham Snooker Club hosts the fifth legs of six on Sunday, September 26.
