Jesters Aces are king of clubs
SWINDON Jesters Aces have been crowned king of clubs.
Jamie Perry, Joshua Lee and Troy Bodman edged out home side Westbury on frames won to claim the Cuestars Under-21 Team – Club Challenge.
The trio from Jesters Snooker Hall won six of their seven matches. Ironically, their only defeat was to Westbury, who finished second.
The Aces also claimed bragging rights in their own club, having whitewashed Jesters Kings 3-0 and seen off Jesters Jokers 2-1.
Perry is currently joint seventh on the Cuestars South of England Under-21 Silver Tour, three places in front of Lee. Bodman is a Bronze standard player who featured in the Jesters B side in last season’s Cuestars Junior Section Team Challenge.
Westbury’s Danny Tallentire, Daniel Winfield, Gary Wilkins and Andy Dyer were forced to settle for second place after defeat by High Wycombe B.
The rather disturbingly named Eastleigh Pink Ladies finished third on frames won from High Wycombe B.
Jesters Jokers finished in a decidedly unfunny fifth place. Thatcham were sixth, three frames ahead of High Wycombe A. Jesters Kings may wish to look away now.
Eight teams gathered at Player’s for the one-off event.
