Plate winner Scott appears on BBC South Today

TWO days before his television appearance, O’Shay Scott collected the Plate winner’s trophy at Fareham Snooker Club.

The 13-year-old from Eastleigh had missed out on qualifying for the knockout in the fifth leg of the Cuestars Under-21 Gold Tour but went on to beat Jaydon Elliott (Swindon) in the final of the secondary competition.

Two weeks before this event, Scott booked a place in the final of the PowerGlide English Under-14 Championship after beating Harry Wyatt (Ferndown) in the southern final at Woking Snooker Centre. Remarkably, all eight quarter-finalists were Cuestars members.

This earned Scott a feature on BBC South Today.
