Season resumption

CUESTARS has released details of the remaining under-21 tournaments for the 2019/20 season.

The coronavirus pandemic means things won’t be exactly the same and we ask players and parents to bear with us. A tremendous amount of work has gone on behind the scenes to get us to this stage.

Three ranking events are scheduled but finals day has been cancelled. And we are splitting each event between two clubs on the same day.

Chandlers Ford Snooker Club will host Bronze events on October 4, 18 and 25.

Waterlooville Sports Bar will host Gold and Silver events on October 4 and 25

Top Spot Snooker Club, in Havant, will host the Gold and Silver events on October 18.

Be aware that face coverings are required for players and spectators at Chandlers Ford SC. And Table 2, near the door, is not being used.

We accept this may cause transport problems for some players but running three tournaments on the same day in clubs with nine tables under the current conditions is not possible.

Cuestars has also released two rule changes for next season, which we hope to start in November.

Professionals can enter all Cuestars competitions without a handicap.

The strength of the Gold Tour has led to a re-think. Players can now only earn promotion to Gold by winning the Silver Tour or making an 80 break or more in any competition.
