Sibling rivalry in Plate final

TWO Chandler’s Ford brothers battled out the Plate final in Woking.

Ten-year-old Oliver Sykes, receiving a 14-point start, beat his sibling Dan 2-1 on the final pink.

It was 17-year-old Dan’s third Plate final this season. He had finished fourth in the Gold group of death that contained both finalists.

Oliver, who progressed to the final thanks to a 41 break against Rio Smith (Portsmouth), had missed out on the Silver knockout by one frame.
