New season preview

FREEDOM day approaches, football’s coming home, the sun is out and Cuestars is back. Happy days.

Cuestars can now reveal it’s shortened calendar for the 2020/21 season. We start on July 25 with an Under-21 Gold, Silver and Bronze Tour event at Waterlooville Sports Bar sponsored by snookercrazy.com.

Because of Covid, we can only run six Under-21 events, three Championship Tour tournaments and three Seniors this season. It will run through the summer and end in October. Subject to the state of the pandemic, a decision will then be made about the 2021/22 calendar.

The full calendar is on the Cuestars website and social media sites. If your profile is up on the Cuestars website, you are member for the 2020/2021 season.

Rankings winners for the 2019/2020 season will receive their trophies on a competition day.

A couple of other things. The Championship Tour entry fee has been increased to £20 so that the prize fund can be improved. A Satellite Rankings has been introduced to answer the question ‘Who’s Cuestars number one player?’ and to reward that player/s with a significant cash prize. The Fantasy Snooker League entry is now open and will close after the Championship League finishes on August 22.

And all players are invited to try the practice challenges that are part of the Cuestars Snooker Academy. These are designed to create competition on the practice table.

Finally, Cuestars wishes Jamie Wilson (pictured) the best of luck in his second season as a professional.
