Cuestars players heading for England duty

TEN of the places in the England teams for this year’s Home Internationals have been allocated to players who competed in Cuestars tournaments last season.

The annual green-baize jamboree takes place at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds from August 7-14. England places are awarded by the EPSB according to the players’ end-of-season rankings.

Bradley Cowdroy is in the Men’s team.

Karl Townsend has been called up for the Over-55 A side.

Kaylan Patel captains the Under-21 A team.

William Thomson and Ryan Spratt are in the Under-21 B side.

Asten Sahota and Noah Gartell will feature in the Under-16 A team.

Turning to billiards, William Thomson and Christopher Woodward are in the B team while Ben Taylor-Jenkins has qualified for the C team.
