Dave Joce suffering from semi-finalitis

CUESTARS.CO.UK is sad to report that former Cuestars member Dave Joce is suffering from an aggressive strain of semi-finalitis.

Joce, originally based at Aldershot Snooker Club, is part of the University of Southampton team that are “fed up with being the nearly men” after continuing their run of last-four defeats by the tournament champions.
The students, who had suffered the same fate for the previous three seasons in the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) Championships, were beaten by the eventual winners in the Midlands Cup.
“I am getting fed up with being the nearly men,” declared skipper Tom Foley. “But of course you have to beat them all to win it.
“This is the year though, watch this space. The team we’re taking to BUCS this year is our strongest ever.”
Foley’s side topped their round-robin group in the Midlands Cup, the warm-up event for BUCS, at Rileys, Coventry, but lost 6-4 to Warwick, who went on to claim the title.
