Trigg-er happy Mike

SILVER Tour player Mike Trigg is tipped to soon crack the massive half-century barrier after posting a personal best 47 break in last week’s Chandler’s Ford Snooker Club Open Series.

The 16-year-old from East Wellow, near Romsey, admitted he fluked one black during his run in the deciding frame of his semi-final victory over Gold Tour player Daniel Woods.
Trigg is on course to collect the £250 first prize if he hangs on to top spot in the rankings when this series ends on March 2.
A new £850 handicapped series will start at 1pm on Saturday, March 9. Entry fee is £7, or £8 for non-members. The competition is open to all ages and abilities. Free practice tables are available until the final is completed.
