EASB Regional Junior Tour first leg

TEN of the 17-strong field for the first leg of the EASB Regional Junior Tour South also compete on the Cuestars Gold Tour.

And five of them qualified for the last-eight.

Bradley Cowdroy reached the final of the first EASB event hosted by Waterlooville Sports Bar. He lost 2-1 to Harlow-based Alex Clenshaw.

Jamie Wilson made his first ever last-four appearance on the Regional Tour. The 13-year-old went down 2-0 to Clenshaw.

In the previous round, Connor Benzey, who finished second in the South West rankings last season, was beaten 2-0 by Clenshaw. Olly Gibbs went out 2-1 to Lewis Parnham (Stroud). And Aidan Murphy, despite knocking in the day’s highest break of 63, lost 2-1 to Wilson.

There were group-stage exits for Steven Hughes, Oliver Sykes, Ryan Hughes, Adam Stacey and Charlie Pringle.
