Judd Trump’s uncle sponsors Cuestars event

JUDD Trump’s uncle said it’s an “honour” to be sponsoring a Cuestars tournament.

The Xander Prestige Group has picked the Seniors Tour event at Jesters Snooker Club, Swindon, on January 27 next year.

Founder James Trump, whose business designs and supplies luxury goods and smart technology for VIP clients worldwide, said: “It’s an honour to be involved.

“Snooker is a big love of mine. Tournaments like Cuestars are great for all types of players who like to get match practice or learn the game and play under pressure or even younger players starting off in their potential snooker career.”

The 46-year-old from Bristol picked up his cue again after a 15-year break about 14 months ago and is busy making up for lost time.

He’s had coaching from Andy Norman, Lee Walker and Alan Bell; went to Q School; made his first century three months ago; and competes on the Challenge Tour, in EASB events and on the World Seniors Tour.
