Second trophy for Rice

DAVID Rice put his frustration behind him and collected a second trophy in just three outings on the Cuestars circuit.

The 20-year-old from Fordingbridge, who reached the Bronze final at Woking, beat Gold player Cameron Holt (Reading) in the Plate final at the fifth leg of the Cuestars South of England Under-21 Tours at Jesters Snooker Hall, Swindon.

“I was quite frustrated not to get out of my group as I was in a three-way tie and went out on head-to-head results,” said Rice.

“But I just put that behind me and focused on getting another trophy.”

A good field of 50 attended the event: 15 in Gold, 11 in Silver and 24 in Bronze.

Players, family and friends at Cuestars events are gently warned that food and drink purchased elsewhere must not be brought into and consumed within the clubs.
