Silver-bound Denieffe wins Plate in Bournemouth

DYLAN Denieffe beat his clubmate Rayan El Qmache in the Cuestars Under-21 Plate final in Bournemouth.

The 13-year-old from Clapham prevailed 2-0 at Greenbaize Snooker Club in the competition for those players not qualifying for the main knockouts in the tenth and final legs.

Both finalists are based at the Hurricane Room, Kings Cross.

El Qmache ended the season in joint seventh place on the Bronze Tour. Denieffe is ninth but earned promotion to the Silver Tour by making a 45 break in Fareham in March.

The event was sponsored by Greenbaize SC (www.greenbaizesnooker.com) and one of its members, Masters Tour player Shaun Hayman.

Jesters Snooker Club, Swindon, hosts the Cuestars Under-21 Gold, Silver and Bronze Championships on Sunday, May 19, with guest professional Joe Perry.
