Simon Cocks Catering beefs up junior snooker sponsorship

HAND-delivered roast dinners helped the latest Cuestars sponsor survive the Covid-19 pandemic.

Simon Cocks Catering brought our traditional Sunday treat to our doorsteps, saving us all that preparation time and the tiresome clearing up afterwards.

And Simon’s son Lennon is proving to be a dab hand on a different kind of table. The 12-year-old, whose highest break is 29, made his debut on the Cuestars Under-21 Bronze Tour three years ago and reached his first final at Waterlooville Sports Bar last month.

Reflecting back on the devastating effects of Covid, Simon said: “The pandemic and lockdown was extremely tough on catering companies.

“One way we managed to survive was, as a family, by setting up a roast dinner delivery service. Lennon and his sister Arwen were actively involved in helping to prepare the desserts.

“The business was very successful and we enjoyed spending time getting creative in the kitchen.”

Simon has always supported grassroots sport. His Southampton-based company has helped local football teams and amateur boxing clubs.

Simon Cocks Catering will sponsor the Cuestars Under-21 Gold, Silver and Bronze Tour legs at Chandlers Ford Snooker Club on November 6.
