IT’S back – by popular demand.
Cuestars is launching a brand-new Big Fat Snooker Quiz.
The original one ran daily for a whole year from the start of the first lockdown last March and was won by Alex Pimenov, who works in a hospital in Moscow.
There are a couple of minor changes this time. The ten questions on each subject will be randomly selected from a pool of 15-20. But the three-minute time limit remains. And the question sets will be uploaded weekly – for a year – instead of daily. A champion will be declared in March, 2022.
It all starts today. The first quiz is titled Hendry/White, rather appropriately as the two legends of the game lock cues again at 7.30pm on Sunday in the first round of the World Championship at the English Institute of Sport Sheffield.
Next is World Championship Qualifiers (April 9) followed by Crucible Curse (April 16), World Championship Referees (April 23), Crucible Classics (April 30) and Crucible World Champions (May 7).
A leaderboard will be maintained on the Cuestars website.
Quizmaster John Hunter said: “I have decided to continue The Big Fat Snooker Quiz as it brings attention to Cuestars and our players’ achievements.”
