Aaron Wilson claims first title

AARON Wilson has secured his first and much-deserved snooker title.

The 14-year-old Cuestars Bronze Tour player finished top of the Monday Junior Snooker League at Waterlooville Sports Bar.

And he got to play World Snooker Tour professional Jamie Wilson on the club’s Star table as a reward.

Ryan Wilson ended the season in second place.

Keira Hiscock claimed the Division 2 title and missed out on a new high break of 22 by sinking a tricky low black but then agonisingly watched the cue-ball drop into a middle pocket.

A new 20-week league starts next Monday. New players and complete beginners welcome.

WPBSA coach Tim Dunkley runs snooker sessions for under-19s from 4.30-6.30pm every Monday and Wednesday and junior pool sessions from 4.30-6.30pm every Thursday.
