Jamie Wilson wins £1,000 for topping Cuestars Satellite Rankings

JAMIE Wilson’s bid to regain his professional tour card has been boosted by winning the Cuestars Satellite Rankings.

The 18-year-old from Havant pocketed an extra £1,000 by collecting more prize money than any other Cuestars member over the past season.

It means that his Q School entry fee is covered.

Wilson is one of only two lifetime Cuestars members, an honour bestowed on any of our players who qualify for the World Snooker Tour. The other is Billy Castle, who finished runner-up and receives £500. Third-placed Connor Benzey collects £250.

All three will be at the Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield from May 16 to June 2 for the three Q School tournaments.

The Satellite Rankings was designed to continue competition between members outside of Cuestars events.

Cuestars director John Hunter said: “It seems to work!

“I’m very hopeful the Satellite Rankings will continue for the 2022/23 season.”

A staggering total of 44,360 Satellite ranking points were won this season.

The Satellite Rankings records all prize money won by Cuestars members in regional, national and international snooker events in the current season.

You must be a Cuestars member at the time of winning the prize money for it to be added to the Cuestars Satellite Rankings.

Send your results, which must include the amount and the name of the competition, by email to [email protected] or through the contact form on the Cuestars website, www.cuestars.co.uk/contact-us, within a month of the event. View the current rankings list at: www.cuestars.co.uk/satellite-rankings.
